Okay, if you're talking medieval fortified residence Thornbury Castle is a good one, if you're just talking last defensive structure called a Castle then Cromwell's Castle on Tresco, Isles of Scilly is a good choice, if you're including follies and so forth there was a Castle built in Sussex about four years ago - and a very good approximation it is too!RoystonB The 1500's saw gun emplacements named castles. Any ideas of when the last true English castle was built.
